When we were first married I made Mark promise that he would never make me retire and drive an RV around the country, but last night I saw one of these for the very first time and I could definitely change my mind. T@B Light weight enough to pull with my 4 cylinder suv, totally cute, I could so see myself driving around the country and having this to stay in. I think Maya would be in heaven, traveling with the parents.
Lest I begin to rant, simply said, she is not with us this trip because the airlines are charging $275 each way to put your small pet under the seat, which seems a tad outrageous to me. She's missing the wind in her hair, canoe boat rides with her papa, rolling in dead fish on the shore (an all time favorite of mine, I washed her 3 times in 2 days last year)
Last night we took an evening drive into town for Marketfest. I couldn't help but wander in the Sheepy Yarn shop where I picked up and knit on the community sock. I love knitting with really small needles, not sure why. It brings me back to my days of knitting Barbie doll clothes. This sock is made from a knitted fabric which is hand-dyed and then unraveled as you knit the sock. A fun concept and there is something so totally nurturing about a handmade sock.
for now it's back to the beads....
Wow, what a great idea, a community knitted sock! That sounds like fun.Enjoy your visit, and happy anniversary!

great post!
ReplyDeleteWe could pull the birds in that trailer.
I saw a program once about people who travel with those little trailers, they seem to have a very good time. Too bad your little girl isn't with you on this trip...but you are right, that is a lot of money to have your pet under your seat. Airlines are getting rediculous.
ReplyDeleteME TOO! I want one of those little teardrop trailers. Saw a program about them & feel in love. I too have no desire to be behind the wheel of a behemoth like my Grandparents which would take them an hour just to park. Hey as long as I had a little tiny place for my beads & fabric, I'd be happy. But then what would I do with my dogs? Right now, I don't have the combination that would like to travel well.

Well, I have one of those teardrops, but it isn't for sleeping, it was modified for traveling with beads! http://beadline.blogspot.com/2008/06/traveling-with-beads.html
ReplyDeleteLove it.
I could see that little trailer completely full of beads and you sleeping in a tent!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the trailer! There is a slightly larger version by the same company, called a T@D@ (tada!) that I am amazingly coveting. They come in great vintage color combos.
