The owl bangle

While in Australia I attended the Victoria Bead Societies Bead Expo and met the delightful and talented Georgie. You may recall I was completely enamored with her lampworked owls and ended up with what one might refer to as a 'collection'. And I have a plan for that collection, here is the beginning of the plan....

This one started out simply with a beaded band around the bangle and a suspended owl. I love the color complexity one can get with layering right angle weave. These colors are subtle, but there are 7 different beads in that little space.

I have in the vicinity of ten remaining owls and I think the next bangle will adorned with multiple owls.

  1. Wow!! What a beautiful bangle and owl. A local glass artist has started to make owl beads. I have one on order! Look forward to see the rest of the collection.

  4. Hi Marcia, sorry for the silly question: how to make the beaded tubular used for the owl?
Do you have the pattern available for sale, somewhere?
    Thanks in advance
