I was needing more room on the slat wall as crystals were getting crowded, but the Bisley cabinet drawers which hold all the kit making material couldn't open with the intended shelving.
So this entire wall of furniture needed to be moved 1 1/2 inches. As you might imagine beads and books are heavy so they needed to be moved before moving the furniture. Whew that was a lot of work, but now that it's done it was totally worth it.
The crystals can now spread out and there are two entire new shelves for seed beads. Now to find the time to put them away, because of course this would be the optimum time to sort them into better color order.....
Or I could go bead which I think I will do. Gabriella will arrive tomorrow evening for a week of book collaboration. I look forward to her input, her artistic vision and her generous spirit. It is going to be a delightful week.
I know I'm not alone in coveting your studio! Would you mind sharing where you get the cardboard bead tube holders? I've looked for a long time and can't find them.

ReplyDeleteHi Candy, those are the boxes that my seed bead supplier sends the tubes in, so sorry, I am no help with a source unless you want to buy 6 tubes of each color as well!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!!! It is your very own bead store! Yep my stash is truly pitiful! I have one/half shelf in the linen closet. WOW and I totally love your organization!
ReplyDelete@ Kristen, remember this is my job, and I started with one half shelf in a family room closet....this was acquired over time, and the studio itself has been a work in process for 6 years now.
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks great! Everything in it's place. If only my room looked like that! lol
ReplyDeleteyou have a dream studio! I wish mine was so nicely organized! I can't even bead any more because I can't get to my work station......it will have to wait until summer when the foundation on my poor old house is repaired and then I can reorganize my studio....your studio is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove your studio.. it must be such a wonderful place to sit and create! I hope to have one like this..one day...or at least as many beads!

ReplyDeleteI love looking at your wall of crystals and seed beads...it's so inspiring just to see so much color all in one place!
I wish my LBS was as well stocked as your studio! They never seem to have (or re stock) the colors I am looking for...but I bet they are all up there on your wall! Haha...
Thanks for sharing your studio space with us once again!
Also - do you sort your beads by colour alone or colour and size?
