A day for beads

I illustrated every day last week, and I made huge strides in my learning, and if I worked all day today and tomorrow, I may get close to catching up where I need to be....but I can't.

I need a day that doesn't include being at the computer all day. Yesterday I taught, and today I am going to take the beads, an audio book and some design ideas and spend the day on the veranda.

It's the perfect beading weather and I'm pretty sure I'll be better off for taking the time out.

And after all, beading needs to be done as well, so it's not exactly a day off. I look forward to seeing what I can accomplish with beads today.

Oh and stay tuned....I think tomorrow will be a blog giveaway day, so you may want to check back!

This is a very nice veranda and it would be a pity not to enjoy a beading afternoon outside !
Don't stress too much Marcia i'm sure you'll catch up with your illustrations.
Kind regards
Ingrid

Great to hear that you are taking a day to bead! I have a tree to take down and lots of laundry to fold.....I'd rather be beading but am happy with the thought that you are!

What a wonderful place to bead or read a good book. We all need down time to be able to recharge. Hope you enjoyed your day.

I'm tired just hearing about all the to do for work beading;don't burn out on us. I will look forward to the blog tomorrow!

no, no burn out Terriy, that is why I am careful to take some time out. Writing a book is in general a large am punt of work, but it is beads after all, so it's good work.

Hi Marcia, i live in mexico, by puré casuality i bougth a beading book vía Amazon this past summer, and i've been beading since, and i have to say... I love IT!!!!!!! There is nothing else i think about, i even skip clases at college to go home and bead, and tell my boyfriend i have a headache so i stay home beading instead of hanging out with him ( IT sounds awfull but we are getting married soon so we Will have plenty of time for being together later) we dont have a lot of stuff here, not good stores nor books or magazines so IT is incredibly inspiring to read about people who has all the beauty that comes with beading in their life everyday, just as you do, i feel like all the women who bead and meet in places like your blog, have a conection, like a sisterhood, its normal to be tired, stressed,or presured ( we are humans) but when that happen, think aout how important you are for all of us, and how you gave us everyday an inspiration shot, sorry my english its pretty bad, regards from mexico!!!

I always try to remember that as long as it is on the List (of productive things that need to be done or measurably enhance life) then I can do it any time I want to, free from internal criticism.

Time like that is well-spent - it refreshes and helps you refocus when it's time to go back to the computer work. Mixing it up a little is a good thing!
